Position Summary
This K-5 MTSS Coordinator will be responsible for providing training, consultation, coordination, and support to teachers, administrators, and instructional learning teams in the implementation of MTSS within Agora Cyber Charter School. In collaboration with principals, administrators, teachers and other stakeholders, this position supports the goal of improving student achievement through encouraging system-wide and local school initiatives to increase student learning.
Essential Functions:

- Coordinate a multi-tiered model of support delivery that identifies student needs, establishes appropriate research based interventions and enables the efficient use of school resources
- Coordinate efforts between school, families, and support services to meet the needs of identified students
- Develop, monitor and adjust MTSS system to ensure it is being implemented with fidelity
General Responsibilities:
- Coordinate school efforts to provide high-quality instruction and interventions that are matched to student needs, monitoring progress frequently to make decisions about changes in instruction or goals, and applying student response data to guide important educational decisions
- Facilitate building level MTSS meetings that include continual application of a structured problem-solving process and involves staff, families and support services
- Ensures the implementation of evidence-based behavioral practices as determined by MTSS team
- Establish written policies, practices and implementation plans
- Establish and maintain a system of communication between families, students, and staff to share areas of success, address implementation barriers, and ensure ongoing fidelity of MTSS implementation across the school.
- Collaborate with other grade-band MTSS coordinators to ensure a coherent plan and consistency in K-12 academic and behavior support initiatives and interventions.
- Demonstrate willingness to assume leadership positions.
- Provide organized, individual and/or group learning opportunities for teachers as needed.
- Provide support in analyzing student assessment data
- Assist teachers with instructional decisions based on assessment data when requested.
- Encourage ongoing professional growth for all teachers
- Manage time and schedule flexibility
- Work positively toward meeting identified district and building improvement goals
- Perform duties as assigned by the Principal and/or Assistant Principal
- Oversee Intervention Specialists and provide supports to help them improve student outcomes and learning
- Travel as needed
- Any additional duties assigned by supervisor

Work Environment
This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones and photocopiers.

Required Education and Experience:
- Master’s degree from an accredited college/university or qualified coursework
- Minimum of five years of successful teaching experience.
- Current Pennsylvania Teaching Certificate.
- Demonstrated knowledge of Pennsylvania Core Content Standards.
- Experience in researched-based instructional practices.
- Proven track record of working collaboratively with staff members to best meet the academic and social/emotional needs of all students.
- Previous coaching or teacher leadership experience
- Deep knowledge of and experience in:
- Instructional strategies

- Assessment driven instruction (teaching/learning process)
- Effective communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills for building an environment with a common instructional focus, promoting initiatives, and conveying expectations
- Ability to design and deliver quality professional development for administrators and teachers

- Demonstrated ability to communicate in a professional manner both orally and in writing
- Demonstrated strength in organization, communication skills and efficiency in meeting deadlines
